From Online to Singapore: Bringing the Art of Tea and Dehua Porcelain to Life

Today, I’m thrilled to share one of the most exciting milestones in our journey — the opening of Taiwu Gallery, our very first physical store, located at 254 South Bridge Road, Singapore.

When we started BestCeramics.cn in 2019, our vision was simple: to share the timeless beauty of Blanc de Chine — Dehua’s iconic white porcelain — and fine Chinese ceramic artistry with enthusiasts around the world. Over the past few years, we’ve grown an online community that deeply appreciates handcrafted teaware, wabi-sabi ceramics, and artisanal tea accessories.

Yet, as much as online connections are wonderful, something has always been missing: the ability to touch, feel, and experience these objects in person. That’s why the move to Singapore has been transformative for us. Taiwu Gallery isn’t just a store — it’s a cultural space where tradition meets modern aesthetics. Here, visitors can explore our curated collection of Handmade Dehua Porcelain, Contemporary Lacquer Art, and artisanal tea sets, all designed to merge heritage craftsmanship with contemporary living.

Our approach blends online convenience with in-store immersion. You can still explore our collections digitally at BestCeramics.cn, but at Taiwu Gallery, every piece tells a story. You can hold it in your hands, admire the delicate relief of a Ming-inspired teacup, or appreciate the subtle imperfections that make wabi-sabi tea accessories uniquely human.

Opening a physical gallery in Singapore also allows us to engage with our community in a completely new way. We collaborate with local artisans, host small tea ceremonies, and provide a space where both collectors and curious newcomers can experience the beauty of Chinese ceramic art and tea culture firsthand.

For me personally, this gallery represents a full circle — from my early days studying ceramic techniques to working with skilled artisans in Dehua, and now bringing these treasures to a global audience. Every piece in Taiwu Gallery embodies elegance, culture, and mindfulness — a reflection of how tea and ceramics can enrich daily life.

I’m incredibly grateful for our growing community of tea lovers, collectors, and design enthusiasts who have supported us along the way. As we embark on this next chapter, I hope Taiwu Gallery will become a destination not only for shopping but for inspiration, learning, and connection.

Visit us in-store or online, and experience the timeless artistry of Blanc de Chine and artisanal tea culture for yourself.
